Argentina’s Black Market: Currency

What economic conditions led Argentina's population to so readily embrace a black market currency system? Our Summer 2014 Issue, "Change Matters," featured an article by Meredith Hoffman, "Argentina: Driven Black," that argued that until Argentina enacts needed economic reforms and makes a genuine effort to improve transparency, the black market will stand as the only viable option for Argentines seeking properly valued currency.
